Virginia Turfgrass Journal Feature: MowCow at Manassas Central Library
Big smiles at MowCow this week! We’re thrilled to announce our recent Virginia Turfgrass Journal feature, showcasing our landscaping project at the Manassas Central Library. It was an amazing opportunity to help beautify a cherished local gathering spot—and we’re honored to have our work recognized. When our crews first rolled up their sleeves at the library, there was plenty to tackle. Invasive plants had to go, native plants needed planting, and the landscape beds begged for some fresh color and careful touches. Our team also set up friendly pollinator signs to educate and brighten the outdoor space. The result? A welcoming, sustainable area that local families can truly enjoy.
This Virginia Turfgrass Journal feature even includes a special video by Dr. Cindy Smith, who shares a thoughtful walk-through of the digital issue. She generously highlights our role in transforming the library grounds, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her kind words. We’re also thankful to have worked alongside great community partners like Prince William Public Libraries. Teamwork really does make the dream work!
And speaking of teamwork, we loved seeing Senator Russet Perry honored during the project ceremony with the Outstanding Legislator Award. Her strong support for turfgrass research, lawns, and landscaping has made a real difference here in Northern Virginia. Hats off to Senator Perry—well deserved!
