Why won’t grass grow here? Besides being an eroded hill in the shade, look at the large stones uncovered by the erosion. This turf didn’t stand much of a chance.
These liriope are behind a small wall. That small bit of shelter makes a huge difference when it comes to winter weather. Still deep a nice deep green in early March.
Almost time to cut back your liriope. The February cold snap knocked these liriope down, but they will snap back to strong health as Spring progresses.
Trees under a power line look great when smaller, as they age and get flat topped, strange looks start to happen. Be careful where you plant. 🙂
